SunActive® Iron

Sun Active® Iron is an iron pyrophosphate produced through a unique and revolutionary technological “super-dis version” process, whereby iron is micronized and microencapsulated in a nanoemulsifying system.

Micronisation

The size of iron pyrophosphate is decreased after micronisation. It allows iron to cross cell membrane easier, resulting in high absorption rate and bioavaiiability.

Nanoemulsion

Nanoemulsion helps to stabilize the iron pyrophosphate and prevent iron from attacking the gastric mucosa and losing its features In the stomach.

In the intestine, Sun Active® Iron is processed by pancreatic lipase that frees iron from the nanoemulsion. Then, different activated reductase enzymes reduce Fe3+ in a readily absorbable Fe2+ °

Efficacy study shows that, after 74 days, the administration of Sun Active® Irons leads to a significant increase of the haemoglobin and haematocrit values.
