Oily dispersion helps probiotics reach the intestine

Intestinal dysbiosis can be defined as a set of symptoms and gastroenteric functional disorders which may develop and involve organs and systems far from colon.

The flora acts as a defensive barrier, mainly by changing the intestinal pH for the purpose of making it inhospitable to pathogens. These physiological processes are well developed in adults, while they are still lacking in babies' intestine. Therefore, children are more predisposed to absorb substances that may be harmful.

Although the intestine becomes more and more efficient as the baby grows up, it is still more vulnerable than in adults as it is constantly exposed to pathogenic agents against which it is not completely protected.

The main cause of alteration of intestinal microflora in babies:

 Inbalanced nutrition Insufficient digestive processes

 Antibiotic therapies Environmental risk factors

Gastro-intestinal or biliary pathologies  Neurogenic factors

Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactobacillus acidophilus are among the main constituents of the bacterial microflora of children up to weaning

They exert direct antagonist effects on pathogens and show a marked anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory activity in the intestine.

More than gastrointestinal effects:

It has been scientifically demonstrated that the use or probiotics can help in:
