Composition

Acetylcysteine............................600 mg.

Indications

Reduce the viscosity of the secretion of mucous membrane of respiratory tract.

Dosage and Administration

Adults:

Take one effervescent tablet once a day. Dissolve the tablet in a glass with some water and mix it. It is better to take at night, avoiding the addition of drugs to the solution and taking it before or after meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to active ingredient of Actein Effervescent Tablets 600 mg. Avoid using in patients with phenylketonuria because there is aspartame in the preparation.

Adverse reactions

No unusual severe type of toxicity has been reported from the prescription experience of Actein effervescent tablets 600mg oral. Slight gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, vomit) have occurred occasionally.

In rare instances，the following side-effects have occurred: eruption, bronchospasm and hypersensitivity.

Precautions

Administrate with caution in patients with asthma. Stop to take Actein when patient bronchospasm. The sulfur odor on opening the effervescent tablet does not indicate deterioration of the product, but is due to the active ingredient. It is better not to mix drugs with the solution of Actein in order to avoid possible interaction with thiol group.
